Paint, ink, and coatings are manufactured using dispersion as one of the main manufacturing processes. In order to create the product, oil-mixed paste, pigments, resins, additives, as well as other raw materials need to be mixed together. The final step is the filling of the paste into a high-speed dispersion mill for unification into solvent form and the production of a fine-quality paste.
It is necessary to pass grinding media through the dispersion system in order to achieve the final product. Continuous rotation of the grinding media (stainless steel balls) is necessary to determine the actual particle size. Continuous operation results in the determination of grinding media sizes, which negatively affects the quality and performance of the final product.
