In the manufacture of glass, sand and limestone are the two primary ingredients. It is possible to produce glass using silica sand, other sands, or calcium oxide from limestone, depending on the nature of the glass.
A sand sample initially contains moisture, impurities, and unwanted materials. To ensure that all unwanted substances and foreign particles are removed from raw materials prior to their use in the manufacture of glass, they must be screened before use. The most effective method of removing foreign particles from raw glass sand is by using vibratory screeners and filters.
