When unfiltered liquid enters the filter through the top, large solids are deposited on the inside surface of the filter, and clean liquid is deposited at the bottom. In order to remove solids, pneumatic actuators drive cleaning discs. A cleaning disc is equipped with doctoring and wiping edges that are used to scrape and wipe the screen. The discs remove particles from the screen during the upstroke, and reclean the screen during the downstroke. Thus, all retained solids are concentrated in the collection chamber, where they are physically removed.

It is suitable for most of the process industries such as food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical, paint, ETP industries, etc, also used for liquid solid separation for variety of viscosity.
The self cleaning filter® works on the principle of the ΔP, i.e., the differential pressure of the inlet and the outlet, where the material flows from the higher-pressure zone to the lower pressure zone. Here the material is collected on the outer periphery of the basket, and with the help of the disc cleaning arrangement that material is collected in the bottom chamber of the flushed out at regular intervals.
The automatic filter can filter material ranging from 1cp to 50000cp. Applications include water to liquid chocolate or honey.
The filter is designed to handle up to 10 bar pressure and even more, depending upon the requirement and the viscosity of the material.
It can handle different capacity of the material from 10L to 1000L per min depending upon the requirement, the viscosity of the material, characteristics of the material, etc, for that we have different models like SCF 250, SCF 500, SCF 800, etc.
We provide a trapezoidal designed basket, ranging from 25 micron to 3000 micron depending upon the requirement of the application.
